Our Insights papers provide overviews of key reports we have produced for our clients and partners. Food sovereignty and equitable food systems explores the inequities in our food systems and opportunities to address these. It is based on a report commissioned by Foundation North (FN) in late 2021 as the Foundation received an increasing number of requests from food banks for support. CSI was asked to look at how system-level change could be encouraged to address inequitable access to good food, enable Māori food sovereignty, support Pacific food security, and encourage local food systems.
